You have found the work-related webpages of Alex Buerkle. I am a geneticist, data scientist, and evolutionary biologist. I was previously a professor at the University of Wyoming (2004 to 2022) and a senior data scientist at Gencove. As of January 2024 I will be a Staff Scientist at Illumina working on bioinformatics for clinical genomics. I remain an adjunct professor at the University of Wyoming and continue to work from beautiful Laramie, Wyoming.

Buerkle lab

The Buerkle lab concluded its operations in May of 2022. Research in our group focused on evolutionary and ecological genomics and computational biology.
